(Brownsville, Texas)-At Sams Stadium, the Harlingen South Hawks (1-2) picked up its first win of the season by defeating Brownsville Hanna (1-2) 34-7 on Thursday night in non-district action. The Eagles were limited to 58-rushing yards on 22 carries and completed 11-of-29 passes for just 169 yards and one score.

The Hawks will now play at Brownsville Rivera (1-1) next Friday night at Sams Stadium. The Hanna Eagles will play at home next Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against the PSJA Bears.
