(McAllen, Texas)-On Tuesday night, 31-5A runner-ups McAllen High School head soccer coach, Patrick Arney watched his Lady Bulldogs blank Gregory Portland 1-0 in the Class 5A Region IV Girls Soccer Quarterfinals. With the win, the Lady Bulldogs are headed back to the University Interscholastic League’s State 5A Soccer Region IV Tournament to be held at the Brownsville Sports Park this weekend. McAllen will play 25-5A Leander (21-1-4) at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs are back in the UIL State 5A Girls Soccer Region IV Tournament for the fourth straight season and last year, the Lady Bulldogs fell to Smithson Valley 1-0 in the State 5A Girls Soccer Quarterfinals, one game short of making another trip to the UIL State 5A Girls Soccer Tournament.
