(Harlingen, Texas)-Harlingen HS Carlie Martinez scored twelve points as she led the Harlingen Lady Cardinals (13-15, 6-3) past Brownsville Rivera (15-21, 2-7) 46-41 in District 32-6A on Friday night. With the win, the Lady Cardinals moves into second place, winning five games out of their last six. Head coach Ashley Moncivaiz was pleased with her team’s win. “We made those free throws throughout the game. Rivera is always a tough team to beat,” said Moncivaiz.
