(Pharr, Texas)-The District 15-5A DII Flour Bluff Hornets (5-2, 3-0) stung the Valley View Tigers on Friday night in a 50-0 shutout win to keep the Hornets tied for first place with rivals, Gregory Portland (7-1, 3-0). The Hornets will travel to play the Brownsville Porter Cowboys (0-8, 0-3) on Thursday night with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. at Sams Stadium. Valley View travel to play Gregory-Portland on Friday night.
Leading 15-0, the Hornets came up with an interception inside the twenty-yard line. Hornets QB Jayden Paluseo was almost perfect completing 20-25 passes for 186 yards and four touchdowns. In the second quarter, Paluseo would connect on a 47-yard touchdown pass to put the Tigers away for good. The Hornets racked up 507 total yards and held the Tigers to 47-total yards. The Tigers had three turnovers for the night.
