(McAllen, Texas)-At McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium, the McAllen Memorial Mustangs defeated rivals, McAllen Nikki Rowe 35-7 in a key District 15-5A Division I win. The Mustangs (4-2, 2-1) will now meet La Joya Juarez-Lincoln (0-6, 0-3) on Thursday night while the Warriors will play host to State 5A DI 7th ranked, PSJA North (6-0, 3-0) on Friday night.
The Mustangs led 28-0 in the fourth quarter and never looked back. “It was a total team effort last night, led by our defense. We did a great job against a really good Rowe team. Our offense did a good job of keeping the ball away from Rowe. Offensively, credit goes to Sebastian Aleman, JP Garza, and QB Kane Koy. Our Offensive line played well kept the chains moving,” says Memorial head coach, Moses Patterson.
