(La Joya, Texas)-The La Joya Juarez-Lincoln Huskies are now 0-20 in two seasons, including a botch no-play during the COVID year. Second-year head coach, Marcos Gonzalez knows that his football program is growing, despite the low football numbers. “Our numbers are improving and we are seeing more football players in our program” says Gonzalez. “Our team continues to work hard everyday.” 

   Last year, the Huskies scored 35 total points in ten games with five shutout losses while allowing 372 points scored on defense. 

   The Huskies returns seven players on offense and six on defense. Players to watch are OL Eduardo Reyes, WR Alberto Borrego, RB Pedro Menchaca, and QB John Menchaca. On defense, DB Jose Quiroz, DL Miguel Calderon, LB Constantino, DB Emilio Batres all return on Friday nights.  (HSSMimages/Ruiz)
