(Los Fresnos, Texas)-On Monday night, Edinburg Head Basketball coach JD Salinas watched his HSSM’s No.2 ranked 31-6A Lady Bobcats (30-7) hold off Los Fresnos (26-11) 63-49 in the Class 6A Bi-District Basketball Championships. The Lady Bobcats will now play the winner from District 30-6A Laredo United South (26-6) or San Antonio Stevens (20-10) this weekend in the area playoffs.
The Lady Bobcats jumped out to a 16-12 lead over the Lady Falcons in the first quarter and ended the first half on top leading 28-22. In the second half, the Lady Bobcats scored another 35 points to secure the win. (HSSMImages/Gabe DeLeon)
