(Raymondville, Texas)-In the annual Willacy County-Cotton Bowl, the Lyford (2-1) Bulldogs held off the Raymondville (1-2) Bearkats 14-0 on Friday night before a packed Bearkats Stadium.
The Bearkats were held to 176 total yards and now, the Blue and Yellow Bearkats will travel to Bill Pate Stadium to play the Hidalgo Pirates (3-0) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in non-district action.
Lyford head football coach Jerry Jauregui has led the Bulldogs on a two-game win streak.
