(Mercedes, Texas)-High School Sports Magazine celebrated its 29th season with its annual Photoday held at Mercedes High School Tiger Stadium on Sunday, May 15th. Players from across the Rio Grande Valley made the trip to get their photos taken for the upcoming 2022 HSSM Football Preview coming this summer.
“I just want thank Mercedes ISD and its administration for their support for hosting this event,” says HSSM Publisher, David ”Tddave” Amador. ”A special thanks to all the players and coaches that made this possible.”
Also in attendance was former NFL safety Ken Stills of Green Bay Packers, who spoke with RGV players. ”Dream of all the possibilities. You have to work hard and dedicate yourselves. It can come true,” says Stills. He is the head coach of the National Blue Grey All-American Football Bowl played annually at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. To date, more than 40 players from the Rio Grande Valley have played in the annual event.
