(Corpus Christi, Texas)-The 26-5A Dripping Springs Tigers (25-3) are headed to the University Interscholastic League State Soccer Tournament at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown next week after denying the former 2016 5A Champions, Brownsville Porter Cowboys (22-3-2) a win today in the Class 5A Region IV Boys Soccer Championships, winning in a shutout 2-0 at Cabaniss Field. The UIL 5A State Boys Soccer semifinals is set for next Thursday. Tigers head coach Josh Hill was pleased with his team’s win and talked about playing the Cowboys. “They are a tough bunch. We knew we had to play them hard for eighty minutes. We never gave up,” said Hill. there teams headed to the State 5A Final Four are Trimble Tech, 3-2 winners over Grapevine and Frisco Wakeland, 5-3 winners over Lone Star High School.
