(San Antonio, Texas)-Teagan Ford (5’10) led the District 21-1A Graford Jackrabbits (37-3) with 15 points as they defeated District 3-1A Texline HS (34-4) 42-39 in the University Interscholastic League Class 1A Championships.
The Jackrabbits have made nine state appearances from 1965, 82, 88, 2000, 08, 12, 15, 22, winning its first-ever state title in school history.
In the first half, Graford led 23-16 and had trouble in the second half as Texline fought back, outscoring the Jackrabbits 17-8 to end the third period up 33-31. (HSSMImages/Ruiz)
