On Friday night at the Alamodome, the two-time UIL State 6A defending champions, Panthers overcame a 27-10 deficit in the first half and came out scoring in the second half, to defeat Atascocita 50-36 in the UIL 6A Semifinals.

The Panthers (34-1) will now advance to the UIL State 6A finals on Saturday at the Alamodome and will meet McKinney. The Panthers have made it to the state tournament nine times from 1991, 97, 99, 2000, 07, 19, 20, 21, 22, winning five titles.
The Panthers will be seeking its third straight championship. The Panthers held Atascocita (34-7) to four points in the second half while scoring 31 unanswered points.
