(Brownsville, Texas)-At Brownsville Pace High School on Monday night, the 32-5A Pace Vikings were just too “cliente” for the 31-5A McAllen Nikki Rowe Warriors as they won 80-62 in the University Interscholastic League 5A Bi-District Boys Basketball Championships. The Vikings (34-4) will advance to the area playoffs and await the winner of the Flour Bluff or Roma winner. In the first half, the Rowe Warriors looked promising as they led 19-17 at the end of the first period and took a 38-32 lead at the half. In the second half, the Vikings came out firing, outscoring the Warriors 28-7 in the third period and went on to win. The Vikings were led by seniors Christian Guajardo’s 25 points along with teammates Dax Delgado (14 points), Alexander Agado (14 points), and Elias Fortaneli (16 points).
