(Pharr, Texas)-PSJA North RB Jack Lugo scored two touchdowns and also recorded one quarterback sack as they defeated Edcouch-Elsa (0-2) 35-0 on Thursday night at PSJA Stadium. With the win, the Raiders (2-0) will kickoff their 2021 District 31-6A next Friday at home against Edinburg Vela (2-0) in a pivotal showdown. “It’s going to be a great match up,” says PSJA North Head Coach, Marcus Kaufmann. “We played two good teams in non-district to help prepare us for next week.”

Raiders sophomore quarterback, Ale Aparicio led his team with 149 yards passing and one score. He also added 37 more yards on the ground. In total, the Raiders pounded the Yellowjackets defense with 410 yards offensively. The Raiders defense held Edcouch-Elsa High School to 140 yards.
