(Weslaco, Texas)-It was a “cat fight” to the end as 32-6A Weslaco High School (18-17) held on to eliminate the 31-6A Edinburg Bobcats (2012) in the Class 6A Boys Basketball Bi-District Championships on Tuesday at Domingo Sepulveda Gym in Weslaco. Both teams grew with tensions mid-way through the game but coaches from both benches eliminated the cat-scratching moment with the Panthers winning 49-37. The Panthers will now meet 29-6A San Antonio Brennan (29-4) this weekend in the area playoffs.
