(McAllen, Texas)-Make that six shutouts this season for the State 5A Division I ranked No.8 PSJA North Raiders (7-0, 4-0) as they defeated McAllen Nikki Rowe (3-4, 2-2) 55-0 in a District 15-5A Division I on Friday night at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium before a crowd of more than 8,000 fans.
The Raiders were dominant from the start and to the end, as QB Ale Aparicio passed for 10-of-16 for 248 yards and two scores. On the ground, the Raiders were rampant, rushing for 438 yards and two more scores. “We held Rowe to under 100-yards tonight and that was important. With the playoffs coming up, we have to continue to play football and dominate our opponents,” said Raiders head coach, Marcus Kaufmann.
The Raiders will meet McAllen Memorial (5-2, 2-1) next Friday night at PSJA Stadium in a key game for both teams while Rowe will play at Rio Grande City (3-4, 2-2).
