(Mission, Texas)-On Thursday night, the Sharyland Rattlers (2-1) defense proved to be too much for McAllen Nikki Rowe (1-2) as they forced the Warriors to five turnovers, winning 22-7 at Richard Thompson Stadium in Mission.

Rowe’s first turnover was an interception by Sharyland High’s Homero Garcia and that led to six points on a 20-yard touchdown pass from senior Rattler QB Bo Krell to Fabian Garza.

Again, on the Warriors next drive, the Rattlers DB Caden Requenez picked off Rowe QB sophomore Eli Garza to set up another Sharyland score with Krell, connecting on a 5-yard touchdown pass from to WR Santiago Longoria to make it 15-0 with 2:31 left in the third as the Rattlers never looked back.

Sharyland (2-1) will play host to Weslaco High (2-0) next Friday, Sept. 15, at Richard Thompson Stadium while the Warriors (1-2) open District 15-5A DI play against La Joya Palmview (2-1) at 7 p.m. Thursday at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium. (HSSMImages/Ruiz)
