(Brownsville, Texas)-At Brownsville Veterans Memorial Stadium, the Chargers defeated the St.Joseph Bloodhounds 21-7 in non-conference action on Friday night to improve to 2-1. The Chargers will now face Port Isabel (2-1) at Tarpon Stadium this Friday night with kickoff set for 7:30p.m.
Chargers junior quarterback Michael “Storm” Montoya stormed his way past the Bloodhounds, rushing 96 yards and one touchdown with senior WR Gerardo Trujillo adding another 109 yards on the ground with one score as they held St. Joe scoreless through the first three quarters.
