(Los Fresnos, Texas)-Three of Four teams from District 32-6A dominated the 6A Bi-District Boys Basketball Championships. The 32-6A Los Fresnos Falcons (25-11) defeated 31-6A Edinburg (25-11) in a wild 53-52 win in the Class 6A Boys Basketball Bi-District Championships on Tuesday at Los Fresnos High School. With the win, the Falcons will play 29-6A San Antonio Taft (21-13), winners over 30-6A Laredo United (22-9) 71-46 this weekend.
More games, it was 31-6A Edinburg North (25-15) knocking off 32-6A Weslaco (14-22) 58-39 and the Cougars will play 29-6A San Antonio Harlan (19-11), 55-47 winners over 30-6A Laredo Alexander (16-15). Also advancing, the 32-6A San Benito Greyhounds (14-10) will play San Antonio Warren (29-6) in the in the area playoffs after defeating Edinburg Economedes 57-36 on Tuesday night. SA Brennan (28-7) will meet 32-6A Brownsville Hanna (29-10) at Gregory-Portland High School on Friday with tipoff at 7:00 p.m.
The Greyhounds will be put to test against the talented SA Brennan Bears with senior Robert Jackson, a 6’7 power forward, and 6’7 Eddie McAfee, a senior post. Cameron Walker, another 6’5 center/post will leads the Bears against the Greyhounds.
