(Mission, Texas)-The La Joya Coyotes picked up a much needed win over Mission 66-53 to remain one game behind first place at 2-1, 19-11 overall in District 31-6A on Friday night in Mission(2-1, 7-14). The Coyotes were led by Ethan Moya with his hot-hand of 25-points scored along with Arian Quintanilla (13 points) and Daniel Trevino (12 points). Mission’s Louie Medina led the Eagles with 21 points.
The Coyotes ran wild in the first quarter by outscoring the Eagles 17-10 and did it again the final period with a 21-14 margin. The Coyotes and head coach Eric Montalvo will play host to Edinburg North at 6:00p on Tuesday night. (HSSMImages/Ruiz)
