(Los Fresnos, Texas)-The Los Fresnos Falcons (4-1) notched their fourth win of the year by defeating the Mission Eagles (1-4) 42-13 on Friday night at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium. Freshmen quarterback Robert Pineda passed for three touchdowns and 128 yards to lead the Falcons. RB Gael Palestina also had a big night rushing for 138 yards on nine carries and one score.

The Eagles kept the score close, trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter but the Falcons took their game to newer heights, scoring 21 points to lead 35-6 after three quarters of play. “I tell my team to go out and have fun, execute, and make plays. We respect the Mission Eagles. Anytime you can beat Mission on a Friday night is special,” says Los Fresnos head football, David Cantu.

The Eagles will take the week off before opening District 31-6A against the Edinburg Bobcats (2-3) at Tom Landry Hall of Fame Stadium while the Falcons will meet Brownsville Rivera (2-3) on the road on Thursday, October 6th to begin District 32-6A.
