(Mission, Texas)-In the third game of pool play, with 5:00 minutes left to play in the Texas State 7-on-7 Football Qualifier-Rio Grande Valley region, Sharyland Pioneer HS brought in soon-to-be-freshmen quarterback, Cameron SARINANA. Five plays later, SARINANA led the Diamondbacks on its first scoring drive against Weslaco before losing 14-7. Both Weslaco and Pioneer were eliminated from qualifying for state tournament to be played at College Station, Texas on June 23-25th. “This was great,” said SARINANA. “I’m looking forward to the upcoming football season.”

The 5’11 175lb eighth grader just completed his junior high year at Shary North Junior High, where he led his team to a perfect 6-0 season, passing for more than 1,000 yards and 19 touchdown passes. SARINANA attended the Elite 11 QB Camp in Los Angeles, California and recently was named to the FBU QB Top Gun showcase featuring elite quarterbacks from across the nation.
