(Mission, Texas)-Sharyland’s Juan Pablo Trevino made a “copa” shot to goal to break a 2-2 tie with 12:00 minutes left to play, and this would prove to be the winning goal as the Rattlers (20-4-3) defeated the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles 3-2 in the University Interscholastic League Region IV Boys Soccer Quarterfinals. With the win, the 31-5A Rattlers will advance to the regional tournament to be play next Friday at Cabaniss Field in Corpus Christi and will meet 26-5A Dripping Springs (23-3). Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. With the South Texas winds blowing from south to north, the Rattlers took advantage of the opportunity and scored two quick goals in the first half to lead 2-0. The Eagles were able to get one in right before the half with 4:07 left to trail 2-1.
