Nine players from the Rio Grande Valley traveled to Arlington, Texas looking for another recruiting opportunity, including McAllen Memorial HS twins, Jalen and Jayden Muhammad along with Edinburg Vela offensive linemen, 6’3″ 295lbs Mark Gomez, OL/DL Arnold Rodrate (Brownsville Rivera HS 6’3 275lbs), Devin Villarreal (McAllen Memorial HS OL 6’2 305lbs), Anthony Garcia (PSJA North OL 6’2 275lbs), Arath De La Torre (Brownsville Porter HS DT/LB), along with Sharyland Pioneer WR Cipiriano Martinez 6’2 220lbs, and DT Ramon Huerta (Harlingen HS).
All nine players worked out for two days meeting their new teammates and learning the plays for the 2022 Blue-Grey All-American Bowl to be played three days later. “I’m lost for words,” said Ramon Huerta from Harlingen High School. “This experience has been the best in my life. To play here, at the home of the Dallas Cowboys is amazing.”
