(McAllen, Texas)-“I’m looking forward to playing this weekend,” said Edinburg North High School DT Trebor Acuna. “To play at AT&T Stadium is exciting.” Eight senior football players from the Rio Grande Valley will come out of the AT&T Stadium tunnel to play in the annual Blue Grey All-American Bowl on December 20th at 1:00 p.m. in Arlington, Texas.It’s the East vs West featuring players from across the United States. Players are selected based on their combine performances or nominated by Blue-Grey recruiters. Two rosters featuring 120 elite senior players from across the nation, who have signed NCAA football scholarships or players looking to get recognized will get their chance to play one more game. “I can’t wait to line up with these players,” says Hiriam Gonzalez, a 6’4 offensive linemen from Rio Grande City. The Blue Grey All-American Bowl will also be bringing it’s regional combine on May 15, 2022 to the Rio Grande Valley. Mercedes High School Tiger Stadium will be the host site.
