(Donna, Texas)-At Bennie La Prade Stadium, the 16-5A DII Tri-Champions Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (8-3) escaped 15-5A DII Medina Valley (3-8) 17-14 to advance to the UIL State 5A DII Area Championships this Friday night at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio against 14-5A DII Marble Falls (8-3).
The Patriots, playing their 11th game on the road this season due to faulty construction issues at Tom Landry Hall of Fame Stadium, senior quarterback passed for 261 yards and two scores to lead his team. The senior to date, has completed 175-of-351 attempts for 2,413 yards this season with 25 touchdowns. In his career, he now has 5,294 yards passing throughout his career with 57 touchdowns.
