(McAllen, Texas)-The McAllen Bulldogs (6-1, 5-1) knocked off Brownsville Pace on Saturday in a key District 16-5A DI game at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium while Sharyland’s first-year head football coach Craig Krell picked up his fourth win of the season by beating 16-5A DII opponent, Sharyland Pioneer HS 38-10. Both football programs are showing plenty of promise with the playoffs just a few weeks away. “I like what our team is doing and we are maturing each week,” says McAllen HS Bulldogs head football coach, Patrick Shelby. The Top Six teams remained the same with Edinburg Vela still ranked Numero Uno followed by Harlingen South, PSJA North, McAllen Memorial, Harlingen, and Mercedes. Cracking the Top Ten polls are Brownsville Veterans and Mission Veterans.
