(McAllen, Texas)-Last Thursday night, the Edinburg Vela Sabercats knocked off sister school, Edinburg Economedes 55-7 to remain undefeated for the season at 9-0 while the Jaguars dropped to seventh place overall at 2-6, 1-5. In second place, the Harlingen South Hawks kept flyin’ high as they defeated Brownsville Rivera and No.3 PSJA North raided La Joya Juarez-Linclon 56-3. In a Top Ten matchup, the Brownsville Veterans Chargers lost to No.4 McAllen Memorial 35-17 to drop to No.11.
