(Brownsville, Texas)-Brownsville Pace Vikings head football coach Daniel Pardo will lead his team against the McAllen Nikki Rowe Warriors on Thursday night at Sams Stadium with plenty on the line. Both teams are 2-1, 1-0 in District 16-5A DI with the winner moving into first place in this ten-team district. “It’s going to be a tough season with ten teams playing for four playoff spots,” says Pardo. “We have some very good teams in our district.”
McAllen Nikki Rowe head football coach, Robert Flores agrees with Pardo. “Every game counts and I’m just excited to get this season started,” said Flores. “Last year we made the playoffs during COVID-19 and we hope to finish the season in 2021.”

The Warriors lost to San Benito (3-0) in Week One 20-13 but enjoyed wins against District 16-5A Division One opponents La Joya Palmview (1-2) and Brownsville Lopez (0-3)
The Pace Vikings will have to find a way to stop the Warriors passing attack. To date, the Vikings have recorded 188 tackles with eight quarterback sacks against a loss to Sharyland (2-1), followed by district wins over Brownsville Lopez and Brownsville Porter (1-2). This game will be a test for both teams on Thursday night. The Pace Vikings are a running team. Can the Warriors stop a running attack?
