(Arlington, Texas)-The Gunter Tigers (14-2) dominated the game as they defeated Woodville (13-3) in the University Interscholastic League Class 3A Division II Football Championships at AT&T Stadium 28-0. In the third quarter with Gunter leading 7-0, Mitchell Gage set a new Class 3A Kickoff return record for 96 yards to put the Tigers up 14-0. In the fourth quarter, Brock Boddie returned an interception for 62-yards to seal their win. With the win, the Gunter Tigers captured its third-straight title under head coach Jake Fieszel. NIKE MVP awards went to WR Cash Rumage (offense) and Hayden Farrell (defense). Farrell had eleven total tackles with three quarterback sacks and 5.5 tackles for losses. (HSSMImages/UIL)
