(La Joya, Texas)-The La Joya Coyotes ended it’s 17-game losing streak by defeating Edinburg North on Thursday night 24-21 in District 31-6A. With two games left, the win keeps the Coyotes (1-7, 1-2) in the playoff hunt as they will play host to the Edinburg Economedes Jaguars (4-4, 1-2) on Halloween Night this Thursday at Richard R. Flores Stadium. “I’m glad this losing streak is over and now we can play for a playoff spot,” said Reuben Farias, head football coach of the Coyotes. The Jags have two games left against La Joya and Weslaco while the Coyotes will play Economedes and end their season against PSJA.
