(Brownsville, Texas)-Santa Rosa Warriors (4-0) defeated Brownsville Porter (0-4) at Sams Stadium on Thursday night 27-7. “We played a great game tonight and I’m proud of our team,” says head coach Joe Marichalar, Santa Rosa HS.
The Warriors rushed for 224 yards with 269 yards of total offense while they held Porter to 86 total yards. The Warriors will now open District 16-3A Division II against Banquete next week on the road with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. while Porter travels to play Pioneer (2-1) on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
