(San Antonio, Texas)-The McAllen High School Boys 4x400m relay team finished fourth in the 5A Region IV Track and Field preliminaries with a 3:26.0 and will qualify for today’s finals at Heroes Stadium. The top two teams will advance to the UIL State 5A Track and Championships in Austin next week. The McAllen relay team features Kolten Ottmers, Jose Rios, Zac Hernandez, and Michael Gower. The Bulldogs are two seconds behind second place qualifier, Boerne Champion HS. McAllen (Leonardo Salinas, AJ Gonzalez, Jordon Chappell, and Weston Guzman) also qualified for the 4×200 relays with a time of 1:30.56, just one second behind Dripping Springs HS ”A”.
