(Raymondville, Texas)-What a game! In the McDonald’s Game of the Week presented by High School Sports Magazine, the Raymondville Bearkats (3-0) exploded past the La Feria Lions (2-1) 51-42 in non-conference action before a sellout crowd of more than 6,000 fans. The Bearkats will play Falfurrias in their District 16-3A DI opener next Friday night. The Lions will meet Valley View (0-3). “It was a very exciting game. Both sides showed up,” says head coach Will Littleton. “I was just happy to get past the Lions.”
Transfer Bearkats junior running back, Traeshaun Washington (40 carries 286 rushing yards) scored five touchdowns, including a 84-yard kickoff return while sophomore 6’2 quarterback, Jefferey Lefevre (14-of-23 256 yards passing) threw touchdown passes of 55, 18, 57, yards.
