(Arlington, Texas)-With 36,120 fans in attendance at AT&T Stadium, North Crowley did not waste anytime as they turned on their gears and warped past Austin Westlake 50-21 as they captured their first-ever UIL State 6A Division I football title. Fort Worth, Texas can now call themselves “Title Town U.S.A.” too. NIKE Defensive MVP Derrick Gleason had five tackles with one QB sack and one forced fumble. The offensive MVP was WR Quentin Gibson. He had seven catches for 181 yards and three touchdowns.

Since 2000, the Chaps were making its eight UIL State Championship appearance, winning three titles. The last time the Chaps won state football titles was in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

On Saturday, North Crowley looked like a championship team as Cornelius Warren III rushed 23 times for 223 yards and one score and QB Chris Jimerson passed for 299 yards for four touchdown passes of 75, 44, 45, and 20 yards to end the Chaps quest of another state title. (HSSMIMages/UIL)
