(La Joya, Texas)-La Joya Palmview head coach Margarito Requenez fought his battle on Friday night with gall stones but he was determined to coach his Lobos (6-2, 3-2) in a key District 16-5A Division I game. The Lobos won 21-14 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Lobos are now in a must-win situation with games left against Edinburg Vela and McAllen Memorial. The Lobos will play the Sabercats at home with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. at PACK Stadium. Losses to Mission and McAllen Nikki Rowe in district play has put the Lobos in a win one or done dilemma. All three teams are 3-2 and tied for fourth place.
