(Brownsville, Texas)-Los Fresnos (7-1, 2-0) LB Josh Laster blocked two field goal attempts by Brownsville Veterans Charger (6-3, 1-1) kicker, Roman Reyna and linemen Fernando Garcia picked up a fumble and rambled 35-yards to the end zone for the game-winning score to seal the Falcons 24-21 win. With the win, the Falcons clinches a share of the District 32-6A title while the Chargers drops to second place. Laster blocked his second field goal attempt by Reyna with :59 seconds left to play for a potential game-tying score. He also finished the night with one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.

The Chargers came out strong in the first half leading 21-10. But, the Chargers were shut down in the second half by the Falcons. Chargers running backs Cesar Belmontes and Alvin Trevillion were held to a combined 144 yards and two touchdowns for the night.

The Falcons will entertain the Harlingen Cardinals (5-3, 1-1) next week while the Chargers will meet San Benito (1-7, 1-1) at Bobby Morrow Stadium. (HSSMImages/DeLeon)
