(San Benito, Texas)-HSSM’s No.6 ranked PSJA North Raiders (1-0) scored 22 points in the third quarter enroute to a 42-22 win over No.9 San Benito on Friday night at Bobby Morrow Stadium. The win gives the Raiders a 1-0 start and they will meet No.4 PSJA (1-0) next Friday at PSJA Stadium at 7:30 p.m. in a showdown. The Greyhounds (0-1) will play Austin Westlake (1-0) in Austin next Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Both teams ended the first half tied 14-14. Junior Raider running back Daren Garcia made his debut rushing for 13 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns. San Benito QB Tyler Ruiz passed for 148 yards and one touchdown.
