(Brownsville, Texas)-Make it win number three for the Donna North Chiefs (3-0) as they defeated Brownsville Porter (0-3) 35-14 on Friday night at Sams Memorial Stadium. “We are proud of our program and we are building it,” said head coach Juan Cuevas, Donna North HS.
The District 16-5A Division I Chiefs took advantage of three early miscues by the District 15-5A DII Cowboys in the first half to take an early 21-0 lead. Chiefs freshman running back Prince Johnson rushed eight times for 126 yards and two touchdowns with teammate Marc Ybarra rushing 21 times for 100 yards and one score. This is the first time in school history that the Chiefs have won three games in one season.
