(Brownsville, Texas)-Head football coach, Mark Guess knows that this year will be the season that the Brownsville Hanna Eagles will return to the state playoffs after going 2-8 in 2022 and 3-7 in 2021. “After COVID, we lost a lot players and now, we are seeing more and more players back in the lineup. I’m excited about this upcoming season,” says Guess.
The Eagles will return five players on offense and seven back on defense. The Eagles will rely on its defense to carry them through 2023 as they look for a quarterback that will lead this team. “That’s going to be our finding once we begin non-conference play,” says Guess.
The Brownsville Hanna Eagles will kickoff its season on the road to meet McAllen Memorial HS on Thursday night, August 24th at 7:00 p.m. and will entertain Sharyland at home on September 1st, followed by road games against Harlingen South on September 8th, PSJA HS Sept 15th, and Mission Veterans at home Sept 21st.
