The Bears will play Austin Lake Travis (6-4) or Cibolo Steele (11-0) in the regional championships next week.

Bears QB Ashton Dubose led his team to 14-points with a 29-yard touchdown run and then spotted WR Armando Acevedo for a 56-yard strike to lead 21-7 in the third quarter. Dubose spotted his brother WR Aaron (6’3″) down the sidelines for another 30-yard touchdown pass to lead 28-7. The Bears ended the night with 374 yards passing and three scores.

This is the second straight season that the Falcons have advanced to the second round of the state playoffs under second-year head football coach David Cantu and he is optimistic with building his future program. “We lost only one game in our sub-varsity games this season. We have built our programs and now, we have more teams playing freshmen and junior varsity,” says Cantu. “Brennan is a very good team and we can work on next season. I’m proud of our coaching staff and players.” (HSSMImages/Ruiz)
