(McAllen, Texas)-The McAllen Bulldogs (1-1) came to Tom Landry Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday night with only one thing in mind: Beat the Eagles. And that they did, upsetting the Mission Eagles (0-2) 26-7 in non-district action. The Eagles were playing at home for the first time in two seasons after construction renovations were completed. Mission quarterback Diego Salinas completed 20-of-33 passes for 206 yards but the sophomore also threw four interceptions which gave the Bulldogs opportunities to score. The Bulldogs allowed only 69 yards on the ground on 34 carries. Eagles WR Josiah Guzman led his team with three catches for 65 yards. The Eagles will now play host to winless La Joya Juarez-Lincoln (0-2) on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. while the Bulldogs will play Mercedes (0-2), both games are non-district match-ups.
