(McAllen, Texas)-After two seasons, McAllen Memorial head baseball coach Felipe Barrera resigns from his coaching position. “Coach Octavio Oyervides will take on the head coaching duties for the remainder of the season. Since this is a personnel matter, we cannot share additional details,” says McAllen Memorial HS Athletic Coordinator, Moses Patterson.
The Mustangs are currently in first place at 2-0 in District 31-5A with an overall record of 11-4. In Barrera’s first season he went 8-17 overall.
