(Pharr, Tx)-The PSJA Memorial Wolverines hired defensive coordinator Will Littleton to take over a football program that is currently on a 14-game losing streak and has an overall record of 7-37 since 2016. 

   The last time the Wolverines made the UIL State football playoffs was in 2011. It’s been a longtime since the Wolverines has seen the postseason. “We have a lot of work to do,” says Littleton. “Once we get our team to understand our system and philosphy, things will fall into place.” 

   The Wolverines returns seven players on offense and five on defense. The Wolverines were outscored 177-15 with two shutouts in four games to finish 0-4 during the shorten COVID-19 season. 

   Players to watch are QB Jaden Cruz, RB Jesus Fonseca, RB Giovanni Garza, OL Victor Ibarra, OL Mark Pena, and WR Issac Rodriguez. HSSM picks the Wolverines to finish in eighth place in 16-5A Division II.
