(San Benito, Texas)-These Greyhounds are really good. The San Benito Greyhounds, ranked No.5 by High School Sports Magazine, will be the team to watch in 2021.
The Greyhounds will feature probably one of the best receiving corps in South Texas with Jermaine Corbin (6’2 205lbs), Chris Thriekill (6’4 205lbs), and Nick Gonzalez (6’4 WR/TE).
At quarterback, sophomore left-handed, 5’11 175 lbs, Andres Villagran looks like the front runner under center. He is explosive and can go deep. Other players to watch are OL Nathaniel Garcia (6’3 275lbs), LB Mariano Garcia (6’0 185lbs), and sophomore RB Atticus DeLeon (5’10 185lbs). The Hounds open at home against McAllen Rowe on August 27th in non-district action. Kickoff 7 p.m.
